Head to the Hill 2012

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, brain tumor advocates from across the country let Congress know that the brain tumor community is united and fighting back through public policy. Advocates in Washington, DC conducted meetings with 95 Congressional offices and, at the same time, advocates in states from California to New Jersey called in to the offices of their Members of Congress from home to echo their message.

During Head to the Hill 2012, participants told their stories, putting real faces to the issues. They connected their personal experiences to the need for increased funding for the National Institutes of Health and for affordable access to oral chemotherapy treatments. Each of these brain tumor advocates deserves a big cheer for their action and courage!
